Locals whisper that the brass boar head was once a hunting trophy from a famed beast slain by a knight-turned-merchant. The knight supposedly hid a small reliquary in the tavern's foundations before disappearing. Superstitious patrons leave salted peanuts and pipe ashes at the hearth to appease the 'boar spirit' and ensure a brawl won't spill supernatural wrath. Scholars say the reliquary might contain a fragment of an old saint's cloak — valuable to collectors and dangerous in the wrong hands.
