Wine & Violins
Wine & Violins opened eight years ago when Bernard returned to Vigil after years working the river trade and vineyards in the countryside. He married Cecilia, a talented violinist he met at a merchant house, and the two converted an old merchant's stone shop into a two storey inn and tavern. Bernard kept one floor for his family and wine cellar and dedicated the ground floor to music and hospitality. The tavern quickly earned a reputation for high quality wines, often bolstered by river trade with the port city of Ierdroeu. Bernard's vineyard supplies a steady house vintage while imported bottles bring exotic choices to the shelves. Over time the inn has become a cultural refuge where music and conversation are encouraged, and where different factions of Vigil sometimes meet to speak on neutral ground.
