Quirks

A dozen live geese wander the common room at low light; one spectral goose occasionally appears above the hearth and honks once for each honest secret told in the tavern. Patrons often settle disputes with 'honker-bets' (staring contests with a goose). The Harrow Lamp flickers in time with lies.

Lore

Locals say Goose Town was named for a flock that followed an exiled oracle centuries ago; the flock vanished atop a hill where the first geese-worship shrine now lies. The 'Gander of the Crescent' — a bound spirit of moonlight and flocking — is whispered to bless certain nights when the moon turns silver-blue. Those nights are good for prophecies, bad for hidden crimes: the geese remember what was done under the light.
