The inn holds fragments of a 'Memory Codex' — splintered writings that point to a hidden vault where the Archives stores forbidden knowledge. Some say the tavern itself was blessed (or bound) by the first defiers so that it remains a pale thorn in the Archives' side. Whispered tales claim a descendant of the Archives' first librarian walks the road to Greyhawk sometimes, testing whether the fire of resistance still burns.
