The Fox & Lantern Inn

Built by a retired caravan master thirty years ago, The Fox & Lantern began as a coaching stop on the trade road. Merrin inherited the inn from his sister a decade ago after she died in a winter fever. The inn has twice sheltered refugees from border skirmishes and once hosted a minor noble's hunting party, which paid for a full year's supply of barrels when they left. Damage from a recent small raid was repaired by townsfolk, which earned Merrin a reputation for fairness and a loyal customer base.
