The Thatching Hearth
The Thatching Hearth began as a one-room wayhouse twenty-five years ago, built by Marla's parents for harvesters and passing merchants on the old Greenway Road. Over the years it grew with a stable, a stage, and a second wing after the river road was rerouted. It survived a small border skirmish when Marla's father famously negotiated with raiders over mugs of ale rather than parting coins. Marla inherited the inn five years ago after serving as a caravan guard; she reworked the rooms and made the stage a weekly fixture.
