The Hearth & Half-Moon
The Hearth & Half-Moon began as a coaching stop built by an ex-scout twenty winters ago. It earned its name from the half-moon carving above the door and the central hearth that warmed every arriving traveler. Once burned in a border skirmish, it was rebuilt with stone bricks from the old watchtower. Mara bought the place five years ago when the former owner took the road again; she patched the ties to local merchants and quietly kept it neutral ground when smugglers and town watch clashed.
