Quirks

Maris rings a small brass bell whenever a new bounty is posted; patrons instinctively silence each other and glance to the board. Regulars leave a single copper coin in a bowl for 'luck' before a venture; some believe the bowl brings fortune, others that it's a favor ledger read by the staff.

Lore

Whispers claim that beneath a flagstone in the cellar lies a rusted chest from the original purser's trunk that contains a map to a 'lost cache' intended for a captain who never returned.
