Maris took over after her father's passing, keeping the hearth lit and the stable honest.

Quirks

The inn keeps a patchwork quilt pinned to the wall where patrons can sew a scrap of cloth—Maris says it's for luck. When the quilt grows, so too does the inn's 'welcome stew' recipe (she swears it's true). Also, a grey hound named Ember roams the common room and will curl up on a patron's boots if they look particularly generous.
