The Hearth of Hollowoak
The Hearth of Hollowoak began as a single-room waystation carved into an old oak's stump over four centuries ago. Merris Oakmantle's family took over the site two hundred years back, expanding the inn while preserving the oak-beam architecture. Over the centuries, the tavern became a crossroads for travelers, soldiers, and scholars. Wars, treaties, and a few quiet miracles have passed through its door. The row of brass hooks beside the hearth holds mementos from the inn's most famous nights — a ruined pennant, a duke’s broken signet, and a child's carved whistle returned decades later.
