Quirks

The inn's lanterns and carved pumpkins change hue subtly with the mood of the room; when tensions rise they flicker orange-red, and when laughter spreads they glow amber-gold. The house fungi occasionally rearrange their tendrils overnight, making the shelves look slightly different each morning.

Lore

Local hunters swear the Four Seasons Forest is stitched together by several 'season nodes'—small arcs of wild magic that hold spring, summer, autumn, or winter in stasis. The inn trades with Lunga for supplies and information, and its biolume clusters are rumored to be cultivated from spores that only form when two seasons meet. Long ago the inn's founder negotiated a pact with a capricious sylph that keeps the hot spring warm in exchange for leaving a single carved pumpkin on the forest's border each year.
