Established roughly two decades ago by Maela’s late father, the Hearthstone Haven was designed as a refuge for weary travelers and nearby villagers. Over the years, it has survived bandit raids and harsh winters, slowly becoming the soul of the small crossroads village it calls home.

Quirks

The tavern has a peculiar tradition: every new moon, a patron is invited to carve a rune into the hearthstone, believed to bring good luck to the house and its visitors.

Lore

Local legend says the hearthstone itself was quarried from the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to a fire deity. It is believed the runes carved by each new moon strengthen the protective wards woven into the inn, guarding against evil and misfortune.
