Quirks

The Black Canopy never seems to get louder no matter how crowded it becomes, and shadows within the tavern sometimes appear to move independently, causing uneasy patrons to glance nervously over their shoulders.

Lore

The Black Canopy’s name comes from an ancient, cursed tree whose twisted branches once shrouded the entire valley in perpetual twilight. Though the forest has long since burned, the tavern retains an almost unnatural darkness, fed by residual magical energies. Locals say the tree’s spirit still lingers, watching and whispering to those bold enough to listen.
