Kaylen Draemir
Blood Hunter (Order of the Ghostslayer)
Kaylen Draemir
Species
Elf
Appearance
An angular young elf whose pale skin seems to drink light rather than reflect it. His hair is white and fine as spider silk, usually braided back in a single narrow plait tied with a strip of faded blue cloth; loose strands continually drift across his forehead as if moved by some inner draft. His eyes are a soft purple that shimmer faintly under moonlight, giving him a perpetually watchful look. He favors a puckered leather jerkin patched with tidy stitches, and a long, moth-eaten cloak whose inner lining is embroidered with the sigil of his fallen house in thread gone silver at the edges. When he moves he is precise and deliberate—footfalls light but never careless—and there is a paradoxical contradiction to him: his gestures are elegant and courtly, remnants of noble bearing, while the tips of his gloves are stained brown with dried blood and soot, and his hands habitually bear the little calluses and ink stains of a man who has both fought and made notes by candlelight.
“Formal, precise, with short declarative sentences. Tends to use metaphors drawn from tending gardens and repairing tapestries.”

Distinguishing Features
A crescent-shaped pale scar along the left side of his throat that glows faintly when he speaks of the dead
Intricate hemocraft sigils tattooed inside his forearms in a brownish-black ink
A small wooden charm — carved by a child’s hand — always tied to his belt (unexpectedly childish against his otherwise severe bearing)
Left ring finger wrapped in a brass band engraved with a name in his mother’s hand
Voice
“Soft, cool baritone with precise enunciation; rises in intensity when speaking of the undead or his family; has a faint accent of an old valley dialect.”
Clothing
A fitted leather jerkin under a long, hooded cloak (dark blue outside, silver-stitched heraldry within), tall leather boots with extra noiseless pads, fingerless gloves, and a faded silk cravat tucked beneath a studded gorget that still bears the faint crest of House Draemir.
Body Language
Reserved: keeps his hands visible, palms often up when talking; when tense he folds his arms and traces hemocraft sigils on his glove with his thumb.
