Appearance
Celhic is a lean, graceful half-elf man with warm bronze skin, sharp green eyes, and long black hair tied with silver cords. Fine elven features soften the angular shape of his human jaw. He favors vivid crimson and midnight-blue stage clothing beneath a dark traveling cloak, with a polished bronze pendant shaped like a dragon's eye. When he casts, faint bronze scales shimmer along his cheekbones and sparks crawl across his fingers.
Mannerisms
Celhic speaks with theatrical precision, pauses before important statements as if waiting for an audience to quiet, and adjusts his cuffs whenever he is nervous. He often addresses strangers as though they are guests at a formal performance.
Personality
Celhic is polished, observant, and unfailingly courteous, especially when dealing with people who underestimate him. He enjoys a well-constructed plan, a dramatic entrance, and an audience that appreciates subtlety. Beneath his composure is a competitive performer who cannot resist proving that he is the most prepared person in the room.
Ideals
Order. A disciplined performance can turn chaos into meaning, and a disciplined society can protect the weak. Rules should be obeyed when they serve stability, but those who abuse authority must be exposed and restrained.
Bonds
The traveling theater troupe that raised him is his true family. He will risk his life to protect its members and recover his father's lost music book, which may contain clues to the noble who ruined his family.
Flaws
Celhic is so committed to appearing controlled that he hides fear, pain, and uncertainty until they become dangerous. He also judges people by how well they maintain order and decorum, making him slow to trust the disorderly even when their intentions are good.
Quirks
Background
Celhic was raised between two worlds, welcomed by neither completely and useful to both. His human mother managed a small theater troupe that traveled from town to town, while his elven father was a court musician who disappeared after refusing to perform for a tyrannical noble. Celhic learned early that applause could open doors that ancestry could not. He became a singer, actor, tumbler, and storyteller, mastering the careful discipline required to make every gesture and word serve a purpose. His sorcery first emerged during a performance meant to distract a corrupt magistrate while the troupe escaped an unjust debt. Celhic's voice thundered like distant weather, bronze light erupted from his hands, and every lantern in the theater flared at once. The power was not learned from a book or granted by a patron. It was an inheritance, tied to an ancient bronze dragon somewhere in his bloodline. Since then, Celhic has traveled as both performer and investigator, seeking the truth behind his father's disappearance and learning to control the dangerous force beneath his polished stagecraft. He follows laws when they preserve order, but he has little patience for laws used as costumes by cruel people.
