Appearance
Dismas is a man built like a stone wall, possessing a broad chest and heavily calloused hands. He has short, cropped black hair and a perpetual five-o'clock shadow that frames a jawline often set in a hard, serious expression. His pale skin is littered with faint scars from countless bouts, particularly around his knuckles and across his brow. He stands with a disciplined, military posture even when relaxed.
Mannerisms
Dismas constantly cracks his knuckles and rolls his shoulders when he is bored or anticipating a conflict.
Personality
He is a man of few words, preferring to let his fists and his silence speak for him. He possesses a stoic resilience, viewing physical pain as a mere annoyance. He finds comfort in the structured violence of a fight and is deeply uncomfortable in polite society or complex political environments.
Ideals
Responsibility. I do what I must and obey just authority, but I care most for those who stand beside me in the mud.
Bonds
I fight for the memory of my fallen unit, and I carry their names etched into my heart.
Flaws
I am slow to trust and even slower to forgive, often seeing enemies where there are only strangers.

Background
Dismas spent his youth in the infantry, serving as a shock trooper who led the charge into the mud of enemy lines. When the wars ended and his unit was disbanded, he found himself unable to integrate into civil life. The silence of peace was too loud, and the plow was too light for hands that only knew the grip of a shield and the weight of a punch. He drifted into the underworld of illegal pit fighting, where he quickly earned a reputation for being a man who would never stay down. He discarded his sword and shield years ago, finding that weapons only complicated the simple truth of a conflict. In the pits, he found a different kind of brotherhood and a way to purge the adrenaline that burned in his veins. Now, he travels as a mercenary and pugilist for hire, seeking only the next challenge and the gold required to stay fed. He holds no malice toward his opponents, treating each bout as a professional transaction between warriors. He currently roams the borderlands, offering his services as a bodyguard or bouncer to anyone with the coin to afford him. Despite his rough exterior, he adheres to a strict personal code developed on the battlefield. He does not bully the weak, and he never breaks a contract once a hand has been shaken. To Dismas, his word and his strength are the only things that truly belong to him.
