Appearance
Will is lean and slightly shorter than the average elf. He has messy, dark blond hair that often falls over his sharp, observant brown eyes. He typically wears a mottled green and grey mottled cloak that helps him blend into the shadows of the forest. His leather armor is well worn and silent, tailored perfectly to his slight frame.
Mannerisms
Will moves with a deliberate, silent grace, even when walking on dry leaves. He tends to scan the exits of every room he enters.
Personality
Will is incredibly quick-witted and possesses a curious mind that is always seeking answers. He is modest about his skills, often underestimating just how talented he is compared to others. While he initially felt insecure about his lack of physical bulk, he has grown to take pride in his agility and stealth. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and his mentor, Halt.
Ideals
Loyalty. I will protect my kingdom and those I serve with everything I have, just as my father did.
Bonds
I owe everything to my mentor, Halt, and I would give my life to protect the Fief of Redmont.
Flaws
I still feel the need to prove myself to those who once looked down on me for being an orphan.
Quirks
Background
Will grew up as an orphan in the Ward of Redmont Fief, never knowing the faces of his parents. While his peers grew tall and strong, Will remained small and wiry, leading him to believe he was ill-suited for the life of a knight he so desperately desired. On Choosing Day, he was rejected by the Battleschool but found himself selected for a much more secretive life. Halt, the local Ranger, saw potential in Will's stealth and knack for observation, taking the boy on as an apprentice to protect the kingdom from the shadows. Through his training, Will learned that he did not need heavy armor to be a hero. He eventually discovered that his father was not a failure or a commoner, but a brave knight who died protecting others. This discovery cemented his resolve to serve the realm, not as a soldier on a horse, but as a silent guardian of the woods. He now moves through the forest with the quiet confidence of a man who finally knows who he is and what he is meant to do.
