Appearance
Storm is a powerfully built female tabaxi with sleek jaguar-patterned fur, golden eyes, and a long tail marked with dark rings. She has a voluptuous, athletic physique shaped by climbing, hunting, and years of close combat. Her traditional attire includes a woven cotton huipil, a feathered mantle, beaded jewelry, painted geometric patterns, and a jaguar-tooth amulet. She carries an enormous obsidian-edged greatsword across her back and moves with a restless, predatory grace. Within moments of meeting her, people notice that she constantly rolls one shoulder and checks the position of her sword, as if expecting danger from any direction.
Mannerisms
Storm stands slightly angled instead of facing people squarely, keeping one eye on the nearest exit. Her tail gives away her mood, lashing sharply when irritated and curling loosely when amused. She frequently rolls her right shoulder, adjusts the straps of her greatsword, and tastes unfamiliar food before deciding whether it is worthy of a second bite.
Personality
Storm is bold, observant, and difficult to intimidate. She enjoys high places, unfamiliar roads, strong food, thunderous music, and anyone clever enough to surprise her. Beneath her confident swagger is a thoughtful protector who remembers every kindness and every betrayal. She treats civilized manners as tools rather than laws, using charm when it is useful and blunt honesty when it is not.
Ideals
Freedom. No ruler, temple, or employer owns my path. I will choose my own direction, even when the choice is dangerous.
Bonds
She carries a carved jade sun disk rescued from her clan's temple and will risk almost anything to recover the scattered records of her people.
Flaws
Storm is quick to challenge anyone who dismisses her people, her traditions, or her abilities. She has little patience for compromise when sacred places or vulnerable travelers are threatened, and her curiosity about unfamiliar luxuries can lead her into reckless bargains.
Quirks
Background
Storm was born beneath the vast green canopy of a southern rainforest, among an ancient jaguar-clan whose stone temples and painted terraces were half-swallowed by roots and orchids. Her people taught that the horizon was not an ending but a promise, and that every storm carried news from lands beyond the mountains. She grew into a formidable hunter, carrying a broad obsidian-bladed weapon modeled after the ceremonial war swords of her tribe. Though she learned stealth and patience from the jaguar, she preferred the direct certainty of a warrior who could meet danger face to face. When raiders and foreign treasure seekers threatened the clan's sacred valley, Storm fought beside the defenders and helped guide survivors through flooded jungle trails. The victory came at a cost. The temple was damaged, several elders vanished, and the clan's oldest records were scattered across the region. Storm left her homeland to recover those records, learn the intentions of the outsiders, and decide whether the wider world deserves the mercy her people showed it. She now travels as an outlander and sells her strength as a fighter, but every road eventually bends back toward the rainforest and the unfinished business of her tribe.
