Appearance
Shimbae has skin the color of deep sea water and hair that seems to float as if underwater, even when they are on land. They wear hide armor reinforced with thick, living moss and flexible wooden plates. Their eyes are a bright, kelp-green that shimmers when they focus on their kinetic abilities.
Mannerisms
Shimbae often sways slightly from side to side while standing, as if affected by an invisible tide.
Personality
I speak with the slow, deliberate pace of a growing tree, yet my actions can be as swift and unpredictable as a flash flood. I find the rigid structures of stone cities claustrophobic and prefer places where the water meets the wood.
Ideals
Balance. Everything in nature must flow together. To stop the flow is to cause stagnation and death.
Bonds
I carry a seed from the Mother Mangrove. It is my duty to find a place where it can thrive and start a new sanctuary.
Flaws
I am often so lost in the song of the wind and the pulse of the earth that I forget to listen to what people are saying to me.

Background
Shimbae was born in the Whispering Mangroves, a vast coastal territory where the Great Forest bleeds directly into the Endless Sea. As a Water Genasi, they felt the pull of the tides from birth, but they were raised by a circle of druids who taught them that wood and water are two parts of the same life cycle. They learned to manipulate the kinetic energy between the moisture in the air and the sap in the trees. This unique perspective allowed them to bridge the gap between elemental forces. Eventually, the circle elders sent Shimbae out into the wider world. They were tasked with finding the source of a strange rot that has begun to affect the world's waterways. To Shimbae, the city-dwelling races seem disconnected from the rhythm of the earth. They move across the land as a wanderer, using their control over water and wood to protect the delicate balance of nature. They carry a staff of driftwood that stays miraculously wet to the touch, serving as both a weapon and a reminder of the home they left behind.
