A failed save causes the creature to be turned for 1 minute or until it takes damage. A turned creature must spend its turns fleeing and cannot take reactions.

Appearance
Zuri is a pale, beautiful high elf with long blonde hair usually gathered into a loose braid with several strands escaping around her face. Her eyes are a clear gray-blue, watchful and often distant, as though she is searching every room for a threat she half remembers. She wears a weathered chain shirt beneath a faded priest's vestment, with a polished wooden holy symbol at her throat. The symbol is worn smooth where her fingers constantly rub its edges. Her boots are patched, her clothing is carefully cleaned despite its age, and a small cloth mouse tied to her belt is the most immediately noticeable remnant of her childhood.
Mannerisms
Zuri studies exits before she studies faces. When anxious, she rubs the edge of her wooden holy symbol and counts silently under her breath. She rarely sits with her back to a door, and she answers questions about her childhood with a calm smile that becomes more strained the longer the conversation continues.
Personality
Zuri is observant, compassionate, and unpredictably bold. She speaks softly until someone threatens the helpless, at which point her restraint disappears and she throws herself into danger with startling certainty. She dislikes rigid authority, but she respects people who use responsibility to protect others. Though she often appears serene, her calm is something she chooses each day rather than something she naturally possesses.
Ideals
The light is not gentle because the world is gentle. It is a weapon against cruelty, and anyone with the power to resist evil has a duty to do so, even if the method is disruptive, dangerous, or chaotic.
Bonds
The nameless children still living in the alleys are her family. She sends food and coin whenever she can, and she will risk almost anything to keep criminals from exploiting them.
Flaws
Zuri is quick to assume that kindness conceals a demand. She can become reckless when she sees someone being manipulated, especially a child or other vulnerable person, and she sometimes mistakes impulsive action for moral courage.
Quirks
Background
Zuri remembers almost nothing before the place she calls the brink of nowhere. She does not know which elven settlement raised her, who taught her to speak, or why she was abandoned among thieves, smugglers, and desperate children. Her earliest clear memories are of narrow alleys, stolen crusts of bread, whispered bargains, and adults who smiled only when they wanted something. The criminals around her tried to shape her into a lookout, a pickpocket, and eventually a tool for darker work. She learned their signals and their routes, but never learned to accept their cruelty as normal. Her faith began with a borrowed holy symbol found in a burned shrine. Zuri cannot remember the name of the deity it once represented, so she treats the symbol as a promise rather than an inheritance. When she prayed, there was no voice, only the stubborn conviction that light was meant to be used against darkness, not merely admired. A wandering priest recognized that conviction and taught her enough doctrine, ritual, and healing to become a cleric of the Light Domain. Zuri now travels from place to place, seeking the source of her lost memories and confronting evil wherever she finds it. She does not believe chaos can be defeated completely. If chaos is part of her destiny, she intends to turn it against those who use order, fear, and corruption to crush the innocent.
