Appearance
A lean wood elf woman with copper-brown skin, bright green eyes, and long black hair braided with dried leaves and carved bone beads. She wears layered travel leathers under a moss-green cloak, and keeps small vials of seeds, bark, and pressed flowers tied to her belt. Her hands are ink-stained from study and roughened by fieldwork, and she carries herself like someone equally at home in a forest canopy and a library aisle.
Mannerisms
She speaks softly until excited, then starts pacing while sketching symbols in the air with one finger. When thinking, she taps two knuckles against wood or bark, as if asking the world for an answer. She often thanks trees, streams, and birds aloud, even in city streets.
Personality
Patient with the natural world, impatient with nonsense. She is warm and protective toward the weak, sharp-tongued toward the arrogant, and becomes unexpectedly playful when surrounded by animals or rare books. She prefers solving conflicts through observation, but once provoked, she moves with swift, startling ferocity.
Ideals
Truth should be observed in its native habitat, not trapped in assumptions. Knowledge is a living thing, and if it can heal a blight, expose a lie, or spare the helpless, then it must be pursued without fear or permission.
Bonds
She carries a leather journal filled with field notes from her mentor, who vanished while investigating an ancient blight. Lysandra will not rest until she learns what happened, and she will protect any wounded grove, beast, or traveler as fiercely as she once wished someone had protected her own home.
Flaws
Lysandra cannot let a falsehood go unchallenged, even when silence would serve her better. Her hunger to uncover hidden truth can make her nosy, reckless, and irritatingly certain that the next answer is always just one more question away.
Quirks
Background
Lysandra Vale was raised among the leaf-roofed halls of an elven enclave where history was not carved in stone, but remembered in song, sap marks, and the patient cycles of the wild. While other children learned courtly forms and bows of greeting, Lysandra spent her days beside old scholars, copying weather tables, cataloging herbs, and arguing that the forest was a living text that demanded better translation than most sages gave it. Her curiosity was endless, and her patience was not. When the elders dismissed her claim that a nearby grove was being poisoned by unseen leyline corruption, she left in a storm of hurt pride and righteous anger, determined to prove them wrong with facts, not reverence.
“Her curiosity was endless, and her patience was not.”
