Appearance
Keros has pale blue skin with fine, shimmering scales and silver hair that floats as if he were underwater. His eyes are a milky violet with no visible pupils. He wears a breastplate etched with dark reef coral and carries two shortswords that seem to hum with a faint, otherworldly energy. His webbed hands and the small fins along his forearms and calves mark him clearly as a Triton.
Mannerisms
He frequently tilts his head to the side, listening to planar vibrations only he can hear.
Personality
Keros is a man of few words, preferring the steady rhythm of the tides and the humming of planar energies to conversation. He possesses an uncanny focus, often appearing to look through people rather than at them. Despite his intimidating presence, he is deeply protective of those he considers part of his crew, showing a loyalty that is as deep and cold as the ocean floor.
Ideals
Freedom. No law, earthly or divine, can hold back the surge of the tide or the spirit of the crew.
Bonds
The ship 'The Crescent Gaze' is my home, and the Captain of the Midnight Tide is the only person I trust with my life.
Flaws
I have little patience for surface-dwellers and their complex laws, often responding with cold aggression when challenged.
Quirks
Background
Born in the depths of the Nyxos Trench, Keros found the isolationist laws of his people too restrictive. He was drawn to the surface by the stories of the Midnight Tide, a pirate fleet whispered to sail between the echoes of worlds. While other sailors fear the misty doldrums and ghost-shores where reality thin, Keros found his calling there. He discovered he could sense the fractures in the weave, the places where the sea bleeds into the Elemental Plane of Water or the Shadowfell. Joining the Tide, he became their Void-Wake, the specialist who guides their black-sailed ships through portals to outrun the law and haunt the nightmares of merchant lords. To him, the Midnight Tide is not just a crew, it is a pod of survivors who understand that the greatest treasures are found where the world ends. He has seen things in the mists that would drive a normal sailor mad, and he carries those secrets in the scars across his fins.
