Appearance
Arsinoe is a lean Air Genasi woman with pale blue-gray skin that feels cool and dry, silver-white hair that constantly lifts as though stirred by an unseen breeze, and clear storm-colored eyes. Fine dust often clings to her boots and hems from years spent traveling dry hills and abandoned ruins. She smells faintly of crushed sage, ozone, and sun-warmed stone. Her clothing is practical and layered, with a weather-stained green cloak, a braided blue cord around one wrist, and a polished piece of blue glass hanging from her arcane focus. Her movements are quick, loose, and slightly unpredictable, as if she is always adjusting to a wind no one else can feel.
Mannerisms
Arsinoe tilts her head toward empty air when thinking, as though listening to a distant voice. She rarely stands completely still, and her cloak, hair, and loose papers stir even in sealed rooms. When irritated, she exhales through her nose and accidentally sends a small puff of dust across the nearest table.
Personality
Arsinoe is observant, restless, and sharply curious. She speaks to strangers with courteous detachment, but becomes animated when discussing old ruins, unusual weather, medicinal plants, or magical phenomena. She dislikes being managed and reacts to direct orders by doing precisely what she intended, but in a much less convenient way. Her years of solitude left her socially unconventional rather than shy. She may forget a person's name while remembering the exact color of their boots.
Ideals
Freedom. No force, god, bloodline, or prophecy has the right to decide what she becomes.
Bonds
The blue crystal from her hermitage is the only proof that her discovery was real, and she will risk much to uncover the truth behind its voice.
Flaws
Arsinoe mistakes secrecy for wisdom and often withholds important information until the worst possible moment. She is easily tempted by forbidden knowledge, especially when it concerns storms, elemental beings, or the origins of her power.
Quirks
Background
Arsinoe was raised in a remote settlement built around a dry spring, where her arrival was blamed on a sudden whirlwind that tore the roofs from three houses. Her mother insisted that the storm had brought a blessing, while the villagers preferred to regard Arsinoe as an omen that should be treated politely and kept at a distance. She grew up learning the moods of wind, dust, and thunder before she learned the customs of ordinary people. When her magic first erupted, a frightened shout sent every loose object in the house spinning toward the ceiling. No one was hurt, but Arsinoe left soon afterward, carrying only a blanket, an herbalist's kit, and a notebook filled with questions. She spent seven years as a hermit in a weather-beaten shrine built into a canyon wall. There, she studied medicinal plants, ancient elemental symbols, and the strange blue lights that appeared during thunderstorms. Her isolation ended when she found a buried fragment of blue crystal that whispered in the voice of a distant storm. The crystal revealed that her power was not merely inherited, but part of an unfinished bargain between an elemental spirit and a forgotten mortal bloodline. Arsinoe now travels to discover who made that bargain, what was promised, and whether the storm inside her is a guardian, a prisoner, or something waiting to be released.
