Luella is a lean half-elf with warm brown skin, a quick, balanced stance, and dark curls usually tied back with a strip of faded gold cloth. Sun and wind have left her cheeks lightly freckled, and her hands are roughened by climbing stonework and handling rope. She tends to stand just outside arm’s reach, watching exits, though her bright grin makes the habit seem like a joke.

Lulu is quick-witted, generous with people in trouble, and delighted by a clever plan, especially one that makes a pompous official look foolish. She meets tension with a grin and a wager, but her humor can turn sharp when someone tries to control her.

Luella Faldoren, called Lulu by nearly everyone who knows her, grew up behind the high walls of Arkvale’s Golden Temple District. Her father was a high-ranking paladin of Tyr, a stern man who kept his illegitimate daughter carefully out of sight and her life carefully under control. In that immaculate household, every hour had a rule and every question an approved answer. In her mid-teens, Lulu slipped past the gates with little more than a stolen cloak and a determination never to be kept like a secret again. The streets were colder and less forgiving than the Temple District, and Lulu stole first because hunger made the choice for her. She learned which gutters stayed dry in a storm, how to cross rooftops without drawing a watchman’s eye, and how to make a small illusion distract a mark just long enough to lift a purse. In time, petty theft became a craft and a point of pride. She favored jobs that embarrassed the powerful more than they hurt anyone, and became a familiar, maddening rumor in Arkvale’s minor-crimes underbelly. After a botched auction-house theft left her with no prize and too many pursuers, Lulu ducked into a tabernacle shared by many faiths. At Tymora’s shrine, she prayed for better odds, not forgiveness. She took the silence that followed as permission to try again, and has since honored the Lady of Luck with offerings, cheeky wagers, and the occasional small service to people who have none of their own. Lulu is no ordained cleric, but she is a devoted and mischievous follower, convinced that good fortune should be shared, especially with those the powerful overlook.
