Appearance
A broad-shouldered half-orc in polished chain mail, always crowned by a closed steel helmet whose visor hides most of his tusked face. A blue cloak hangs over his shield, and his armor is meticulously maintained, though the dented edges suggest hard-won battles. His eyes, when seen, are surprisingly calm and attentive, and his bearing is rigidly formal, like a knight trying to outgrow a reputation he never chose.
Mannerisms
He speaks in formal, measured sentences and tends to remove his helmet only when alone or in the company of the very weak. Before entering a room, he often rests one hand on the visor as if checking that his resolve is still in place. He bows to children and commoners with the seriousness of a king, and when angered, he becomes eerily quiet rather than loud.
Personality
Alexander is calm, dutiful, and unexpectedly gentle for such a towering figure. He believes a true guardian should make others feel safer in his presence, not smaller. He is slow to joke, but quick to praise courage, and he treats promises as sacred objects that can be polished, repaired, or broken only at great cost.
Ideals
Duty. Rank should mean responsibility, not indulgence. Power is only righteous when it protects those who lack it, and law is only worthy when it can be trusted by the humble as well as the mighty.
Bonds
He carries the signet ring of his house and refuses to let his family name be used for cruelty or neglect. He has also sworn to protect the weak and to answer any call for lawful aid when he can do so without betraying a greater oath.
Flaws
He is painfully self-conscious about being judged as an orcish brute, so he can become stiff, overformal, or aggressively proper when stressed. He sometimes values appearances of discipline and honor too highly, and may hesitate when a messy but necessary choice would tarnish his noble ideal of perfection.

Background
Alexander was born the younger son of a minor baron, a child whose orc blood made court whispers sharper but whose discipline made them quieter. His family expected a brutish enforcer, but instead he became a devoted student of law, heraldry, and oathkeeping. When he was old enough to wear mail, he insisted on training with the household guard rather than the leisure of the manor, and he discovered that his greatest strength was not rage, but restraint. The first helmet he was given by the armorer was too large, then later refitted to him after a tourney injury. He never stopped wearing one after that. In the steel faceplate, he found a symbol that made others look at his actions before his features. His faith led him to the paladin's path after a border raid destroyed a village his family was too slow to aid. Alexander rode there with the rescue party and spent three days pulling survivors from smoke and rubble. He swore a private oath that day, that nobility should mean service, not distance. He took up a sacred mantle of devotion, choosing to embody the law, mercy, and courage that his station was supposed to protect. Now he travels as a warden in both title and temperament, binding his sword arm to the defense of the weak, and his reputation to the hope that even a half-orc can become the sort of knight children point to in awe instead of fear.
