Appearance
Runa is a tall and slender satyr with a striking, lanky silhouette. She has rich brunette hair that falls in messy waves from beneath a battered, wide-brimmed cowboy hat. Her upper body is human-like with sun-kissed skin and light freckles dusting her nose and cheeks, while her lower half consists of powerful, brown-furred goat legs ending in dark hooves. Two large ram-like horns curl back from her head, often partially hidden by her hat. Her green eyes carry an expression of permanent, casual indifference. She wears a practical leather vest and dual holsters strapped low on her hips.
Mannerisms
She has a habit of tilting her hat down until it obscures her eyes whenever she is annoyed or about to draw her weapons.
Personality
Runa is the definition of low-key. She rarely raises her voice and views the world through a lens of quiet pragmatism. While others find her indifference cold, it is actually a defense mechanism to keep the chaotic nature of her fey heritage at bay. She values efficiency and steady hands over the boisterous parties her kin usually prefer. She treats most situations as if she has seen them a thousand times before, even when things are going south.
Ideals
Freedom. No one should be allowed to tell another person how to live their life or where to roam.
Bonds
My twin pistols are the only things I can truly rely on, and I treat them with more care than I treat myself.
Flaws
I am so detached from the world that I often fail to realize when someone is trying to be my friend.
Quirks
Background
Born in a hidden grove within the Feywild, Runa was always an outlier. While the other satyrs spent their days in revelry, she found herself fascinated by the clockwork and gunpowder of the Material Plane drifters who occasionally stumbled through the veil. Eventually, the noise of the endless parties became too much for her. She traded her panpipes for a pair of iron pistols and stepped through a thinning of the worlds into the dusty, sun-scorched frontiers of the West. She found the dry heat and the silence of the desert much more to her liking than the humid magic of her home. She quickly made a name for herself as a defender of small, forgotten outposts. She once stood alone against a gang of iron-clad bandits who attempted to seize a lonely water tower. Her skill with her twin pistols, which she maintains with the precision of a master smith, became legendary among the locals. Though she claims to care for nothing but the next horizon and a clean barrel, she can never seem to resist stepping in when the little guy is being bullied. She now travels the borderlands, a tall shadow in a wide hat, looking for a place where the air stays quiet and the lead flies straight.
