You can use Dexterity instead of Strength for your Unarmed Strikes and Monk weapons. Your Unarmed Strikes can deal Bludgeoning damage, and your Martial Arts die is 1d6. When you take the Attack action with an Unarmed Strike or Monk weapon, you can make one Unarmed Strike as a Bonus Action. You can also make one Unarmed Strike as part of the Attack action and one as a Bonus Action.

You gain the Flurry of Blows, Patient Defense, and Step of the Wind options. Flurry of Blows lets you spend 1 Focus Point after taking the Attack action to make two Unarmed Strikes as a Bonus Action. Patient Defense lets you spend 1 Focus Point to take the Disengage action as a Bonus Action and gain the Dodge benefit until the start of your next turn. Step of the Wind lets you spend 1 Focus Point to take the Dash action as a Bonus Action and double your jump distance for the turn.

Push the target up to 15 feet away if it fails a Strength saving throw, or knock it Prone if it fails a Dexterity saving throw. You also gain Wholeness of Body, allowing you to heal yourself as a Bonus Action by rolling your Martial Arts die and adding your Wisdom modifier, a number of times per Long Rest equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Appearance
Tukzun is a broad-shelled tortle with moss-green scales, amber eyes, and a weathered shell marked by faded chalk symbols from his criminal past. He wears loose charcoal robes reinforced with leather wraps, a red sash, and soft sandals. His claws are carefully filed for climbing and combat, though he leaves the tips sharp enough to remind himself that gentleness is a choice.
Mannerisms
Tukzun pauses before answering difficult questions, slowly tapping one claw against his shell. He habitually positions himself with his back to a wall, counts exits whenever he enters a room, and bows his head before making a difficult strike.
Personality
Quietly observant and unfailingly polite, Tukzun speaks with deliberate care and prefers practical kindness to grand speeches. He has a dry sense of humor, a fondness for children and stray animals, and an almost competitive appreciation for well-made locks.
Ideals
Mercy is strongest when backed by the power to punish cruelty. I will use my abilities to protect people who cannot protect themselves.
Bonds
I owe protection and restitution to the families harmed by my former criminal crew. I will not abandon anyone being exploited by the powerful.
Flaws
Tukzun assumes that every favor creates a debt, including kindness freely offered. He is slow to trust authority, quick to suspect hidden motives, and sometimes takes unnecessary risks to prove that his old criminal instincts are under control.
Quirks
Background
Tukzun was raised in a river-port colony where tortles were treated as useful laborers, harmless curiosities, or obstacles to be pushed aside. His patience made him an excellent lookout, and his shell made him a surprisingly durable burglar. For years, he worked with a small crew that robbed corrupt merchants and smuggled food and medicine into neighborhoods controlled by a brutal magistrate. Tukzun told himself that every crime served justice, but he eventually learned that some of his partners were selling vulnerable families to debt collectors and slavers. He turned against the crew during a warehouse raid, using the discipline of a wandering monastery he had secretly studied with to disable his former allies without killing them. The monastery accepted him as a penitent student, teaching him that skill without compassion is merely another form of greed. Tukzun now travels as a monk and reluctant investigator, stealing only when necessary, exposing predators who hide behind law or wealth, and trying to repay every life his old profession damaged. His former criminal contact still knows where to find him, and sometimes the messages bring victims who have nowhere else to turn.
