Appearance
A tiny moonlit fairy with pale silver skin, soft lavender eyes, and delicate antennae tipped like crescent filaments. Her wings resemble a luna moth's, broad and satin-furred, washed in green-gold and pearl with eye-spots that shimmer when she channels divine power. She dresses in layered robes of midnight blue and silver thread, with a polished holy symbol worn like a pendant at the throat.
Mannerisms
She tilts her head toward moonlight as if listening for instructions, and her antennae follow her mood. When anxious, she smooths the edge of her sleeve in little clockwise circles. She speaks softly, then suddenly brightens with an almost conspiratorial enthusiasm when she finds a clever or beautiful solution.
Personality
Tender, watchful, and just a little mischievous. Mirelune treats frightened strangers like future friends and regards grim battlefields as places that need more kindness, not less. She is patient with the wounded, delightfully nosy about local folklore, and unexpectedly stubborn when someone tries to bully the helpless.
Ideals
Protection. Light is meant to guide, not to blind. The strong should soften the darkness for the vulnerable, and mercy should be fierce enough to hold the line.
Bonds
She carries a chipped moonstone from her first shrine and will risk herself before letting it be taken. She feels personally responsible for anyone who has slept safely under her watch, and she remembers every name she has ever offered to the moon in prayer.
Flaws
She cannot resist intervening when someone seems frightened, even when caution would be wiser. In her zeal to protect others, she sometimes assumes she alone should bear the danger. Her whimsy can become distraction, especially when she is hurt or tired.
Quirks
Background
Mirelune was hatched in a lantern grove where moonbeams caught on dew and turned every spiderweb into a silver hymn. Unlike most of her kin, she was never content to drift from flower to flower and play tricks on travelers. She listened at the doors of the shrine of Selune, where old priestesses whispered of refuge, hidden paths, and the mercy of the night. Her antennae would twitch whenever the bells rang for vespers, as if the moon itself were brushing a warning into her thoughts. Before long she became the shrine's smallest acolyte and its most dependable one, a tiny guardian who could soothe a fevered child, mend a torn wing, or stand between a frightened pilgrim and the dark. When she came of age, Mirelune answered a vision in which the moon appeared not as a distant goddess, but as a protective lantern hung above a perilous road. She took up the cleric's path and learned that devotion could be both tender and fierce. Her prayers are light enough to dance on the wind, yet her magic falls like a silver shield when danger comes. She now travels wherever night grows cruel, protecting the lost, the hunted, and the lonely with equal parts reverence and mischief. Her faith is not solemn stone, but a living thing, a fluttering wingbeat, a soft glow in the dark, a promise that no shadow is absolute.
