Thavok was born among the Sky-Watcher tribe in the high altitudes of the Akannu range. Unlike many of his kin who spent their lives purely in the mountains, Thavok felt the pull of the world below. He descended to the lowlands and enlisted in a human mercenary company, finding that the rigid structure of military life suited his naturally disciplined soul. He quickly rose through the ranks due to his sheer durability and cold efficiency on the battlefield. His military career ended in tragedy when his platoon was betrayed by a corrupt lord and sent into an ambush. Thavok was the only soldier to crawl out from under the pile of the dead, surviving through his innate Goliath resilience and an iron stubbornness that refused to let him perish. He now carries the tattered standard of his former unit as a cape, seeking both a new purpose and a way to balance the scales of justice against those who betrayed his brothers in arms.
