Appearance
Khrzvak Tsereteli is a lean, long-limbed male wood elf with weathered copper skin, dark ash-brown hair tied low at the nape, and calm gray-green eyes. His studded leather armor is carefully maintained but plainly mismatched, with several panels replaced by darker hide and pale thread. His left glove is visibly over-repaired, the fingertips polished smooth from years of drawing a bow. A small brass-bound field journal hangs at his hip, its lower corner worn into a crescent shape from repeatedly striking his knee while he walks. He carries himself with quiet alertness, as though every room contains a trail only he can read.
Mannerisms
He pauses before answering as if mentally shelving the question. When studying a person, he tilts his head slightly and watches their hands rather than their face. He writes short observations in the margins of any document placed before him, then returns it with perfect courtesy.
Personality
Khrzvak is observant, dryly humorous, and difficult to impress. He prefers practical kindness to declarations of loyalty, and he trusts people who maintain promises under inconvenience. His curiosity is relentless, especially when confronted with contradictory evidence or a creature whose behavior does not fit the books.
Ideals
Truth is wild, contradictory, and rarely owned by the person who claims it. I will follow evidence wherever it leads, even when the conclusion is inconvenient or cruel.
Bonds
His field journal contains the unfinished work of his vanished mentor, and Khrzvak will cross any border to recover the missing pages. He also protects the mountain communities that once sheltered his observatory, even when their rulers do not deserve his loyalty.
Flaws
He treats people as sources before he treats them as companions. Khrzvak can justify almost any intrusion as research, and his refusal to discard a useful clue often keeps him beside dangerous people long after trust has failed.
Quirks
Background
Khrzvak Tsereteli was raised among the cedar terraces of an old wood elf observatory, where scholars mapped the migrations of beasts, the behavior of spirits, and the slow changes in the mountain forests. His family maintained records rather than borders, copying natural histories for monasteries, noble courts, and anyone willing to trade useful information. Khrzvak learned early that a written account could outlive a kingdom, but he also learned that no book could replace a footprint, a broken branch, or the silence of birds before a predator arrived. He became both archivist and field investigator, carrying a bow into places where other sages would only send questions.
