Appearance
A weathered human man with sun-browned skin, a tangled beard, moss-green eyes, and long dark hair tied back with strips of leather and feather cord. He wears practical hide layers, a faded green cloak, a bone charm at his neck, and carries himself like someone who has slept under the open sky more often than under a roof.
Mannerisms
Bogdar pauses often to listen to distant sounds, as if the wind were speaking to him. He touches bark, stone, or soil before making important decisions. When anxious, he whistles soft birdcalls under his breath, and he tends to address animals with the courtesy he rarely gives strangers.
Personality
Quietly patient and watchful, Bogdar is kinder to beasts than to people, though he is not cruel unless provoked. He speaks simply, trusts instincts over fancy arguments, and has a habit of wandering off in mid-conversation if he hears something in the woods that needs attention. Beneath his rough edges is a sincere, steady compassion for anything living.
Ideals
Respect. The wild is not a thing to conquer, but a presence to honor. Those who live in balance with the land deserve his loyalty, and those who wound it must be stopped.
Bonds
He still carries a carved wooden token from his childhood home, the last reminder of the parents he left behind. He feels responsible for every grove, stream, and animal that trusts him, and he will risk himself to keep a wild place from being ruined.
Flaws
Bogdar can be so protective of wild places that he treats every axe, torch, and campfire like a personal insult. He is suspicious of city folk, slow to trust promises, and can become reckless when he thinks nature is being harmed. He sometimes forgets that not everyone hears the world as clearly as he does.
Quirks
Background
Bogdar was born in a small village at the edge of a vast and untamed wood, where the people feared the forest more than they respected it. As a boy, he was always found at the tree line, speaking softly to birds, tracking deer tracks in the mud, and listening to old hunters who spoke of roots, storms, and seasons as if they were family. When his parents tried to anchor him to village life, Bogdar slowly slipped away, first for afternoons, then for days, until one morning he simply did not come home. He has wandered ever since, learning to live from the land rather than taking from it. Over the years, Bogdar found that the wilds answered kindness. Foxes led him to shelter, ravens warned him of danger, and even shy beasts would sometimes accept bread from his hand. He came to believe that the natural world is not a resource to be stripped bare, but a living web that deserves guardians. Now he travels wherever roads cut too greedily into old groves, where poachers leave blood in sacred streams, or where careless folk forget that the forest can suffer. He is gentle with creatures, stubborn with people, and utterly fearless when protecting a wounded place.
“He has wandered ever since, learning to live from the land rather than taking from it.”
