Appearance
Kilgore Lucky Clay is ruggedly handsome in a way that suggests he spends too much time in the wind and not enough time worrying about his health. He has a sharp jawline, messy brown hair, and an easy, lopsided smirk that screams overconfidence. He wears a flight jacket over his sleek armor and is famously never seen without his dark aviator shades, even in pitch black environments or deep space tunnels.
Mannerisms
Lucky speaks with a low, confident drawl and often leans against doorways or walls to maximize his relaxed aesthetic. He has a habit of flipping a single gold coin when he is waiting for someone to answer him.
Personality
Lucky is incredibly arrogant, viewing himself as the hero of a story that everyone else is just lucky to be living in. He treats monster hunting like a professional poker game, maintaining a detached, cocky demeanor even when faced with world ending threats. He is charming and silver tongued, though his confidence often borders on being insufferable to those he is supposedly helping.
Ideals
Freedom and Profit. I follow the credits and the open sky, because no one has the right to tie me down or tell me where to go.
Bonds
The Pink Sting is my home and my heart. It is the only thing I have ever truly owned, and I would trade my soul to keep her flying.
Flaws
I am so certain of my own luck that I often disregard safety protocols and common sense, leading myself and my allies into traps I could have easily avoided.
Quirks
Background
Kilgore was born on a fringe world where life was cheap and monsters were a daily reality. He learned young that a fast hand with a deck of cards was a better way to make a living than honest work. On a particularly fateful night in a smoke filled outpost, he bluffed a merchant prince out of a starship known as the Pink Sting. The ship looks like a harmless, glowing jellyfish, but it hides massive weapon panels that Lucky uses to vaporize any monster that gets in his way. After winning the ship, he realized that villages would pay high prices to someone with the firepower and lack of fear necessary to hunt local monstrosities. He reinvented himself as a Slayer, taking on contracts across the stars while keeping his dark shades firmly on to ensure no one sees his eyes darting toward the exits. He is always one lucky break away from a massive payout or a spectacular crash, and he would not have it any other way.
