- Channel Divinity, Turn UndeadLevel 1
Svenn can use an action to present his holy symbol and invoke divine power, turning undead creatures that can see or hear him within 30 feet. Each turned creature must spend its turns fleeing and cannot willingly move closer to him. The effect lasts for 1 minute or until it takes damage.

As a full spellcaster, Svenn has access to cleric spellcasting. He uses Wisdom as his spellcasting ability and prepares a number of cleric spells equal to his Wisdom modifier plus his cleric level.
- Divine Domain, Knowledge DomainLevel 1
Svenn chooses the Knowledge Domain. His domain spells are always prepared and do not count against the number of cleric spells he can prepare. At 1st level, these are command and identify.
- Blessings of KnowledgeLevel 1
Svenn learns two languages of his choice, Celestial and Draconic. He also becomes proficient in two of the following skills: Arcana, History, Nature, or Religion. He chooses Arcana and History, and his proficiency bonus is doubled for ability checks using those skills.

- DiscoveryHermit
Svenn's years of isolation gave him unusual insight into the nature of divine power. When he encounters a religious, magical, or supernatural mystery, he can often find a place to investigate, provided he does not openly threaten the local community.

Appearance
A broad-shouldered hill dwarf with a heavily scarred scalp, iron-gray beard, and one cloudy eye. His beard is bound with plain copper rings rather than devotional symbols. He wears well-maintained chain mail beneath a weather-stained gray cloak, and carries a mace whose head has been repeatedly repaired. His holy symbol is a flat disk of slate, its original emblem worn smooth from years of anxious rubbing.
Mannerisms
Svenn rubs the edge of his slate holy symbol whenever he is lying about his faith. He speaks prayers in the same tone he uses to recite measurements, and pauses before every spell as though waiting for someone else to object.
Personality
Gruff, methodical, and relentlessly practical. Svenn has a dry, cutting wit and a strong instinct to help anyone in pain, though he disguises compassion as professional obligation. He distrusts religious certainty, especially his own, but becomes fiercely protective when others are mocked for believing.
Ideals
Truth is more sacred than comfort. If a miracle cannot survive honest examination, it was never worthy of worship.
Bonds
He will return to the abandoned shrine beneath the Ironspine and uncover what answered his first prayer, even if the truth destroys the last remnants of his faith.
Flaws
He treats uncertainty as a personal insult and will invent elaborate rational explanations rather than admit that he is afraid. He is also quietly dependent on the rituals he claims are meaningless, becoming irritable and unfocused if prevented from performing them.

Background
Svenn Sziklason served for nearly a century in a remote shrine carved into the roots of the Ironspine Mountains. He began as a caretaker, then became a priest of the Deep Hearth, a stern dwarven divinity associated with endurance, craft, and the sacred duty of keeping the old fires alive. His first miracle was small, a dying miner's breath returning after Svenn whispered a prayer he barely understood. More followed. Wounds closed beneath his hands. The dead sometimes answered his questions. Svenn took these signs as proof that his faith was sound. Then the answers changed. The voice in his prayers became silence, while the magic remained. Svenn spent twelve years alone in a sealed side chapel, testing every rite he knew. He prayed to rival gods, to ancestral spirits, to the mountain itself, and once, in an act he refuses to discuss, to an empty iron bowl. The spells worked every time. He left the shrine carrying his slate holy symbol and a carefully maintained list of questions nobody had answered. Now he travels as a wandering cleric, offering healing while insisting that his powers are merely the predictable result of ritual, discipline, and favorable atmospheric conditions. He has not admitted, even to himself, that he is terrified the magic may be coming from something that has been listening all along.
