Appearance
A tall, broad-shouldered High Elf with warm copper-brown skin, soft gray-green eyes, and thick dark hair worn in a low braid bound with blue thread. A faint scar crosses the left eyebrow, and the polished plates of the character's armor bear small, deliberate scratches from years of field use. Their expression is calm and attentive, with a patient gravity that occasionally gives way to a surprisingly gentle smile.
Mannerisms
Mireli checks exits whenever entering a room, straightens crooked objects without noticing, and addresses frightened animals in the formal tone once used for nervous recruits.
Personality
Quietly warm and observant, Mireli listens longer than most people expect and remembers small details about everyone they meet. They are disciplined without being cold, protective without being possessive, and more comfortable repairing a broken strap or tending a campfire than receiving praise. Mireli's humor is understated and arrives at unexpected moments, usually after a long silence.
Ideals
Protection. Power is justified only when it is placed between the vulnerable and the danger.
Bonds
The survivors of the village I failed to defend are my responsibility. I will see that they have a safe home, even if it takes the rest of my life.
Flaws
I have difficulty accepting retreat, compromise, or forgiveness when someone in authority has caused harm. I can turn a necessary pause into a personal test of courage.

Background
Mireli Kordzakh grew up among the cedar valleys at the edge of an old elven borderland, where the watchtowers were built as much to warn of danger as to mark the limits of memory. Their family kept records of patrol routes, fallen sentries, and treaties written in three languages. Mireli learned early that a soldier's duty was not simply to defeat an enemy. It was to notice the missing lantern, the frightened child, and the bridge that would not hold beneath a retreating company. After decades of service in a mixed company of elves, humans, and hill folk, Mireli left the army when an order from a distant commander sacrificed a village to preserve a strategic road. Mireli obeyed long enough to get civilians to safety, then refused the final command and took responsibility for the disobedience. The army stripped away their formal rank but could not erase the loyalty of the soldiers who served beside them. Now Mireli travels as a paladin devoted to protecting people before plans, carrying a battered unit pennant inside their pack and treating every campfire as a place where old comrades might still find shelter.
