Appearance
Entero is a lean, broad-shouldered male genasi with pale blue-gray skin, silver-white hair that drifts as if underwater, and faint sparks of blue light moving beneath his skin. His eyes glow like storm clouds lit from within. He wears a practical dark traveling coat over a scholar's tunic, with a spellbook chained securely to his belt and a set of thieves' tools hidden inside his sleeve.
Mannerisms
Entero pauses before answering difficult questions, as though arranging invisible pieces on a chessboard. He taps his spellbook twice before opening it, keeps his back near walls, and instinctively turns his head toward any sudden change in air pressure.
Personality
Entero is observant, patient, and quietly compassionate. He speaks politely even when threatening someone, prefers plans with multiple contingencies, and has an instinctive sympathy for thieves, refugees, and other people forced outside respectable society. Although physically brave, he is uncomfortable being praised and immediately looks for the hidden cost of any favor.
Ideals
Justice must protect the powerless, not merely preserve the comfort of the powerful. If a law enables cruelty, breaking that law can be the most lawful act a person can take.
Bonds
He carries the stolen spellbook that revealed the officials' conspiracy, and he will risk everything to protect the people named in its pages. He also owes his freedom to the wizard who taught him, and he intends to prove that the mentor's faith was not misplaced.
Flaws
Entero assumes that every authority figure is compromised until proven otherwise. He also has difficulty accepting help, because dependence once meant owing dangerous people a favor. When frightened, he becomes calculating and secretive, sometimes withholding important information even from allies.

Background
Entero Nipis was raised among the dockside warehouses of a city where smugglers, corrupt officials, and desperate laborers all depended on the same hidden network. His elemental nature made him memorable, so his family taught him early to keep his head down and his emotions controlled. He became a courier and lockbreaker, using a quick hand and a talent for manipulating small currents of air to slip through guarded alleys and sealed storerooms. He never considered himself cruel, but he accepted that survival often required breaking laws written by people who had never gone hungry. Everything changed when Entero was ordered to steal a sealed spellbook from a dying arcanist. Instead of selling it, he opened it. The book contained evidence that several powerful officials were using the criminal network to disappear political prisoners and divert relief supplies. Entero exposed the conspiracy, but the revelation made enemies on both sides of the law. A sympathetic wizard recognized his potential and taught him the foundations of arcane study. Entero now travels as an adventurer, determined to use magic to protect ordinary people while dismantling the systems that once made criminals necessary. He still knows how to pick a lock, vanish into a crowd, and speak in the coded phrases of the underworld, but he now treats those skills as tools for justice rather than profit.
