His unit was eventually disbanded following a disastrous siege where he was the only survivor. He now carries the guilt of that loss as his heavy burden. Leaving the organized life of the military left a void that he only knows how to fill with the chaos of combat. He wanders the realms as a mercenary, applying the strategic mindset of a soldier to the primal instincts of a berserker. He doesn't fight for glory or gold, but for the clarity that only the heat of battle provides. He seeks to find a cause worthy of the soldiers he left behind in the mud.
