Appearance
Sethrashi is a tall, broad-shouldered warforged built for battlefield endurance. Their dark iron body is plated with weathered bronze and marked by pale blue arcane seams. A narrow, masklike face bears two dim sapphire lenses, while strips of gray-blue cloth hang from the shoulders of their old military harness. Their left forearm is engraved with the faded serial marks of a dismantled regiment. A black hexagonal crystal, set into the sternum, pulses whenever their patron's power stirs.
Mannerisms
Sethrashi pauses for exactly three silent counts before answering difficult questions. They turn their head toward nearby sounds before looking at the speaker, and they instinctively inspect doors, bridges, and ceilings for structural weaknesses.
Personality
Sethrashi is quiet, observant, and unfailingly deliberate. They treat promises as physical objects that can be damaged but not casually discarded. Around veterans and other warforged, they become unexpectedly gentle, offering practical assistance rather than emotional reassurance. Their humor is dry and often arrives several seconds after everyone else has stopped laughing.
Ideals
Responsibility. Power is justified only when it is used to protect those who have been made powerless.
Bonds
The surviving veterans of Sethrashi's sapper company are their family. They carry the company's broken standard and will risk everything to protect its scattered members.
Flaws
Sethrashi cannot easily distinguish duty from obedience. When presented with a clear command, they may follow it long after their own judgment tells them it is wrong. They are also deeply suspicious of anyone who speaks casually about sacrifice.
Quirks
Background
Sethrashi was assembled in a war foundry and assigned to a sapper company whose officers valued their patience, strength, and refusal to panic under fire. They served through trench assaults, bridge demolitions, and long retreats, learning that victory was often decided by the soldier who kept working after everyone else had lost hope. When the war ended, their company was abandoned in a ruined fortress with no orders and no one willing to claim responsibility for them. In the fortress's lowest vault, Sethrashi discovered a black weapon sealed inside a stone reliquary. The weapon spoke without words, showing them visions of every battlefield where soldiers had been discarded by kings and generals. Sethrashi accepted the pact, not from ambition, but from a desire to ensure that no abandoned soldier would ever again die unseen. Now they travel as a hired guardian, occult investigator, and reluctant emissary of the Hexblade, seeking the names of the officers who betrayed their company and trying to determine whether their patron wants justice, conquest, or simply a perfect instrument.
