Appearance
Syri has short, sleek black hair and piercing blue eyes that shine with the clarity of cooled glass. Her skin is bronzed from years at the forge, and she wears a cloak of smoldering silk that constantly sheds faint sparks. She carries twin obsidian pistols and a dark, life-drinking dagger at her hip.
Mannerisms
She tilts her head to listen to the vibration of metal whenever someone enters her shop, judging their intent by the sound of their equipment.
Personality
Syri is a perfectionist who views every interaction as a transaction of craftsmanship. She is quiet and observant, often listening to the rhythmic sounds of the world as if they were a hammer on an anvil. Though she acts with a mercenary coldness, she is driven by a deep sense of justice for the exploited.
Ideals
Innovation. The old ways of smithing are mere foundations for the marvels I will build.
Bonds
The Shroud Syndicate protects my forge, and in return, I ensure their blades never dull.
Flaws
I am obsessed with the durability of things. If a soul is fragile, I have little use for it.

Background
Born in the Emberheart forges, Syri Vulcan was raised amidst the roaring heat of Mount Kelethor. Under the tutelage of a master smith, she learned to harmonize her arcane talent with the physical art of metalworking. After delivering a life-drinking blade to a treacherous drow noble, she was forced to flee when he turned on her. Using her own creation to slay him, she vanished into the shifting sands of the desert, eventually finding her way to the city of Zahra-Nur. There, her reputation as a master of weapons-grade obsidian drew the attention of the Shroud Syndicate. Ripley Ripley, recognizing the lethal beauty of Syri's work, recruited her as an artisan of death. Now, Syri balances her devotion to the cosmic artisan Karanos with her work for the Syndicate, her tools and weapons serving as instruments of both creation and cold, calculated destruction.
