Appearance
Striker is a compact, broad-chested goblin with rust-brown skin, a blunt muzzle, and long ears held close to his head. He wears a weather-darkened leather coat over practical layers, with daggers placed for quick reach. When waiting, he leans forward over the balls of his feet, as if every pause is a race he intends to win. He stands too close to people without seeming to notice, watching their hands instead of their faces.
Mannerisms
He waits pitched forward, heels barely settled, and leans into other people's personal space as if testing whether they will yield. He studies hands, doorways, and exits before he looks at anyone's face.
Personality
Blunt, watchful, and cruelly practical, Striker trusts actions more than promises. He respects competence, dislikes being pitied, and can be unexpectedly patient when stalking a target.
Ideals
Retribution. Anyone who destroys a helpless community forfeits any claim to mercy. Striker decides who deserves that judgment, and he refuses to let the powerful decide otherwise.
Bonds
He keeps a little clay whistle from his clan, the one possession he refuses to sell. He means to discover who led the raid and make every surviving member of that party answer for it.
Flaws
He treats kindness as an attempt to buy him and patience as a sign of weakness. His hatred of elves, humans, and dwarves, especially those who use magic, overrides caution and can make him ruin a useful plan just to hurt one of them.
Quirks
Background
Striker was small enough to hide beneath a cart when the attack came. He remembers the village doors kicked inward, the smoke, and the shapes of armed strangers moving through it. Elves, humans, and dwarves were among the raiders, and one human carried a spell that turned the night bright as noon. He never learned who ordered the slaughter. He learned instead that survivors are useful, and that a grudge can keep a person awake when fear would rather let them sleep. A gang of street thieves took him in and taught him to lift a purse, find a latch, and leave before a mark understood what had happened. Their home was a cramped back room above a shuttered bakery locals called Sgwer, a name shortened from an old phrase for the place where the roof always leaked. Their keeper, Eiraith, taught him that a crew lasts only as long as its members are useful. Striker took that lesson literally. Now he breaks into rooms, steals what can be carried, and hunts for clues about the people who destroyed his clan. He has no patience for anyone who asks him to forgive.
