Appearance
Sisana is a striking young tiefling with subtle succubus ancestry, a graceful figure, small swept-back horns, a long tail, and luminous green eyes that glow faintly in darkness. Her black hair is woven into several tight braids, decorated with small iron prayer beads. She wears well-maintained chain mail beneath dark crimson vestments and carries a glaive with a blackened haft and silver religious icon worked into the blade. Her beauty is captivating, but her expression is usually guarded and faintly amused.
Mannerisms
Sisana tilts her head when listening, as though weighing the hidden meaning behind every word. She traces the edge of her holy symbol with one finger when nervous and often smiles at inappropriate moments, especially when a conversation becomes threatening.
Personality
Sisana is sharp-witted, captivating, and suspicious of easy answers. She enjoys verbal sparring and often hides genuine concern behind flirtation, sarcasm, or theatrical confidence. Despite her irreverent attitude, she takes vows of protection seriously and has a soft spot for frightened outsiders, abandoned children, and anyone judged solely by their bloodline.
Ideals
Freedom. No god, temple, ancestor, or bloodline has the right to decide what Sisana must become. Faith is meaningful only when it is chosen.
Bonds
The temple that raised Sisana is her true home, and she will protect its people even when doing so is dangerous or foolish. She also carries a broken silver reliquary that belonged to her mother, believing it contains a clue to the identity of the celestial or infernal power that once pursued her family.
Flaws
Sisana assumes that anyone offering unconditional kindness must want something in return. When cornered, she becomes reckless and provocative, preferring a dangerous gamble to the humiliation of admitting fear or asking for help.
Quirks
Background
Sisana was born beneath a blood-red moon in a remote temple where her mother, a wandering half-succubus mystic, sought refuge from hunters and old enemies. The temple clergy expected a curse, a temptation, or an omen. Instead, they found a clever, observant child who listened to every sermon from the shadows and asked questions that made senior priests uncomfortable. Her infernal heritage marked her as an outsider, but the temple gave her food, education, and a place to belong. Sisana repaid that generosity by becoming an acolyte, learning sacred rites, tending the sick, and studying the history of divine conflicts.
“The temple clergy expected a curse, a temptation, or an omen.”
