Appearance
GangGreen is a hunched, wiry goblin standing just under four feet tall. His mottled green skin is marked by old kitchen burns, knife scars, and a pale crooked line running from his left ear to his jaw. He has long, sharp ears, yellow eyes, and a permanent gap-toothed grin. He wears a once-fine but badly altered butler's coat over light leather armor, with silver serving buttons, hidden pockets, and a stained white cravat. A small iron idol hangs from a chain beneath his collar, wrapped in black thread.
Mannerisms
GangGreen bows excessively when meeting nobles, then straightens with a sharp crack of his spine. He polishes imaginary dust from his sleeves after making a threat and refers to everyone as either "Master," "Mistress," or "future corpse."
Personality
GangGreen is obsequiously polite, theatrically servile, and privately venomous. He enjoys perfect manners because they make other people underestimate the hatred behind his smile. He is observant, greedy, and patient when planning a crime, but childish and impulsive when mocked. He prefers elaborate revenge to simple violence, though he is perfectly willing to stab someone once the performance is over.
Ideals
Revenge. Every sneer deserves an answer, every tyrant deserves humiliation, and every servant deserves the chance to hold the key.
Bonds
The cursed idol is hidden beneath his coat, and GangGreen will kill anyone who tries to take it from him. He also keeps Lord Vellisar's old signet ring as proof that a mocked servant brought down a lord.
Flaws
GangGreen cannot forgive mockery, especially jokes about his back. He takes petty insults as declarations of war and often sabotages people who have no idea they offended him. He is also convinced that the idol speaks to him in dreams, and he will risk companions, contracts, and his own life to obey its vague commands.
Quirks
Background
GangGreen was born in the refuse tunnels beneath a wealthy city district, where he learned early that the smallest creature could survive by being useful, quiet, and cruel. His knack for polishing silver, remembering every servant's passage, and appearing wherever he was least expected earned him a position as a butler in the manor of Lord Vellisar, a nobleman whose family had grown rich through extortion and stolen relics. GangGreen served flawlessly, though his hunched back made him a favorite target for the household's jokes. The servants mocked his posture, the guests called him vermin, and Lord Vellisar made him bow repeatedly for amusement. In the manor's sealed vault, GangGreen found a strange idol carved in the shape of a many-eyed goblin king. He recognized it from stories told in the tunnels, tales of an object that rewarded humiliation with ruin. Rather than steal it, he presented it to Lord Vellisar as an apparent gift, claiming it would restore the nobleman's declining fortune. The idol soon brought disasters. Creditors arrived, crops failed, hidden crimes were exposed, and Lord Vellisar's allies turned against him. By the time the manor burned, GangGreen had vanished with the household's keys, a handful of jewels, and the idol's whispered promise that the nobleman's fall was only the beginning. Now he works as a burglar, infiltrator, and occasional assassin, seeking opportunities to make the powerful kneel while secretly wondering whether the idol cursed him as well.
