Kage can regain hit points as a Bonus Action. He has four uses, regaining two uses after a Short Rest and all expended uses after a Long Rest. He can also expend a use to add 1d10 to a failed ability check.

Kage gains proficiency with all armor, shields, simple weapons, and martial weapons. He chooses the Defense Fighting Style, gaining a +1 bonus to Armor Class while wearing armor.

Kage can use the mastery properties of six weapons with which he is proficient. His selected mastery weapons are longsword, warhammer, handaxe, javelin, longbow, and greatsword.

Once per turn, Kage can take one additional action, except a Magic action. He has two uses, regaining one after a Short Rest and all after a Long Rest.

Kage can make three attacks whenever he takes the Attack action.

When Kage uses Second Wind, he can move up to half his Speed without provoking Opportunity Attacks.

Kage can reroll a failed saving throw. He can use this feature once per Long Rest, and can expend a use of Second Wind to use it again without regaining the Second Wind use.

Kage can use Tactical Mind whenever he fails an ability check, adding 1d10 to the roll. If the check still fails, the use of Second Wind is not expended.

Kage's weapon attacks score a Critical Hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.

Kage gains proficiency in one of Acrobatics, Animal Handling, Athletics, History, Insight, Intimidation, Perception, or Survival. He also adds half his proficiency bonus to any ability check using Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution that does not already include his proficiency bonus.

Kage gains a second Fighting Style option. He chooses Great Weapon Fighting, allowing him to reroll a 1 or 2 on a damage die when attacking with a two-handed or versatile weapon held in two hands.

Once per turn, when Kage succeeds on a d20 Test, he can give himself Advantage on the next d20 Test he makes before the end of his next turn.

Kage's weapon attacks score a Critical Hit on a roll of 18, 19, or 20 on the d20.

Kage gains an Epic Boon feat. He chooses Boon of Irresistible Offense, causing his weapon attacks to deal extra damage on a miss equal to his Strength modifier once per turn, and allowing him to deal maximum damage to one target when he score a Critical Hit with a melee weapon.

Kage can use Action Surge twice between Long Rests, though he can use it only once on a turn.

Kage retains the respect and authority associated with his former military rank. Soldiers and veterans recognize his service, and he can usually secure modest shelter, food, or assistance from military organizations and sympathetic civilians, provided his requests do not place them in obvious danger.
