Appearance
Aurelia is a tall, statuesque drow woman with obsidian-black skin, long white hair braided with silver rings, and vivid crimson eyes. Her face is severe and aristocratic, framed by high cheekbones and a narrow, controlled smile. She wears fitted black leather armor beneath a dark crimson officer's coat bearing the spider sigil of House Malice. A silver signet ring and a polished obsidian arcane focus mark her rank and allegiance. Her movements are precise, restrained, and predatory.
Mannerisms
Aurelia maintains unnervingly prolonged eye contact and rarely raises her voice. She smooths one sleeve before issuing a threat, taps her silver signet ring when evaluating a lie, and addresses almost everyone by title, rank, or presumed social station.
Personality
Aurelia is cold, observant, and unfailingly formal. She views conversation as an interrogation conducted at a slower pace and instinctively ranks everyone she meets according to usefulness, danger, and obedience. Beneath her controlled exterior lies a relentless ambition to become indispensable to House Malice and eventually direct its secret police from the shadows.
Ideals
Order. Every creature has a place, every secret has an owner, and every disobedient voice must be silenced before disorder spreads. Power is not evil when it is wielded by those strong enough to control it.
Bonds
The survival and supremacy of House Malice are inseparable from Aurelia's own destiny. She is bound to a mysterious patron whose power first answered her prayers during an interrogation beneath the house temple. Aurelia believes the patron has chosen her to uncover a conspiracy threatening the house, though she suspects the truth may implicate members of her own family.
Flaws
Aurelia cannot tolerate defiance, especially when it comes from someone she considers beneath her. She mistakes fear for loyalty and often pushes an interrogation too far because she believes every person has a breaking point. Her greatest weakness is pride. She would rather risk catastrophe than admit that someone outside House Malice has outmaneuvered her.

Background
Aurelia Malice was raised within the Great House Malice, where obedience was not a virtue but a survival instinct. Trained from childhood as an inquisitor, she learned to read hesitation in a witness's breath, treachery in a servant's posture, and fear in the silence between words. Her service began in the house militia, where she commanded interrogations, suppressions, and punitive expeditions against rivals, escaped slaves, and suspected heretics. She was celebrated for her discipline and feared for her refusal to accept incomplete answers.
