- RageLevel 1
When Bonus Action
Sunshine enters a battle fury, gaining the benefits of Rage for up to 10 minutes.
- Cleave
When After hitting with a Greataxe
After hitting a creature with a Greataxe, Sunshine may make a second attack against a different creature within reach, with limited damage as specified by Cleave.
- Vex
When After hitting with a Handaxe
After hitting a creature with a Handaxe, Sunshine gains Advantage on their next attack against that creature before the end of their next turn.
- Unarmored DefenseLevel 1
While not wearing armor, Sunshine's Armor Class equals 10 + Dexterity modifier + Constitution modifier. With their current ability scores, this would be 12 if Constitution were included. However, the supplied AC calculation rule specifies 10 + Dexterity modifier, so the recorded unarmored AC is 9.
- Weapon MasteryLevel 1
Sunshine can use the mastery properties of two kinds of Simple or Martial weapons. They have mastered the Greataxe and Handaxe. Greataxe mastery, Cleave, can allow a second attack against another creature within reach after hitting, with the second attack using the same ability modifier and no ability modifier added to its damage unless negative. Handaxe mastery, Vex, grants Advantage on Sunshine's next attack against the same target after a hit.
- Constructed ResilienceWarforgedSunshine has Advantage on saving throws to avoid or end the Poisoned condition, resistance to Poison damage, immunity to disease, and does not need to eat, drink, or breathe.
- Sentry's RestWarforgedDuring a Long Rest, Sunshine remains conscious and can see and hear normally, though they must remain inactive for at least six hours.
- Integrated ProtectionWarforgedSunshine's body incorporates protective materials and can be fitted with armor according to Warforged rules. This does not alter the supplied unarmored AC calculation.
- Specialized DesignWarforgedSunshine has proficiency with the Gaming Set tool and Land Vehicles, reflecting military training and maintenance experience.
- Constructed NatureWarforgedSunshine is a Construct rather than a Humanoid, where the rules distinguish between those creature types.
- SizeWarforgedMedium.
- SpeedWarforged30 feet.
- Savage AttackerSoldier
Once per turn when hitting with a weapon, Sunshine can roll the weapon's damage dice twice and use either result. This applies only to the weapon's damage dice, not to extra damage dice or modifiers.

Appearance
Sunshine is a 6-foot-tall Warforged with a sturdy frame of dark honey-colored wood, brass joints, and warm yellow enamel panels that have faded unevenly with age. Their old military coat is several sizes too large, cinched tightly with mismatched belts and repaired with bright thread. The coat's left shoulder bears a carefully polished sunburst insignia, the only part of their former uniform they maintain perfectly. Their broad hands are visibly worn from years of weapon drills and field repairs, with tiny tool marks around the fingertips and a habitually clenched left fist. A small glass lens set into their chest glows softly when they are calm and flares like sunrise when they rage.
Mannerisms
Sunshine tilts their head by precise mechanical increments when listening. They polish their brass chest insignia before important conversations, count doorways when entering a building, and announce dawn with a quiet, sincere greeting even when no one else is awake.
Personality
Sunshine is patient, direct, and unexpectedly gentle. They speak to broken tools, frightened animals, and nervous strangers with the same calm attention. They enjoy practical jokes only when the target can laugh afterward, and they have an earnest fascination with small comforts such as warm bread, birdsong, and the way people decorate their homes.
Ideals
Protection. Strength has meaning only when it is used to give someone weaker the chance to survive and choose their own future.
Bonds
Sunshine carries a dented brass signal whistle that belonged to the medic who gave them their name. They will risk almost anything to protect healers, camp followers, and ordinary people trapped between armies.
Flaws
Sunshine treats every promise as a binding command, even when the promise was made casually or in bad faith. They are also incapable of quietly accepting that someone is being left behind, which can turn a sensible retreat into a dangerous rescue attempt.
Quirks
Background
Sunshine was built on a battlefield assembly line and activated beneath a sky turned orange by fire. Their first orders were simple: advance, hold, protect. They served as a shield-bearer, camp guard, and eventually a rescue soldier, carrying wounded people from collapsing fortifications long after their unit had retreated. The name Sunshine began as a joke from an exhausted medic who noticed that Sunshine always polished the golden plate over their heart before dawn. The name stayed because Sunshine did not mind being reminded that something bright could exist in a war zone. When the war ended, the soldiers around Sunshine returned home, disappeared into mercenary companies, or were dismantled for parts. Sunshine instead kept traveling, searching for a purpose that was not written as an order. Their rage is not mindless fury. It is the sudden, overwhelming force of every command to stand aside, every helpless cry they failed to reach in time, and every promise they still believe can be kept. They joined adventurers because protecting a small group of people feels more honest than defending a banner, and because they want to learn whether goodness is something a construct can choose, rather than merely something it can be programmed to imitate.
