Ignis is a hulking Red Dragonborn with scales the color of dried blood and deep crimson. He possesses a heavy military brand on the side of his neck. Unlike traditional monks, he wears rugged soldier trousers and combat boots, his upper body covered only by prayer wraps and a tattered officer's cloak. His eyes are a cold, predatory amber.

Ignis is disciplined, cold, and utterly convinced that peace is a lie told by the weak. He speaks with military brevity and expects immediate obedience from those he deems subordinates. He does not seek chaos, but he will utilize any amount of cruelty to ensure his objectives are met and his dominance is clear.

Born into a lineage of celebrated warriors, Ignis served for a decade in the frontline infantry of a draconic legion. He was a paragon of efficiency, known for breaking the morale of enemies with brutal close quarters combat. However, after his commanding officer ordered a retreat that Ignis viewed as cowardly, he murdered the man in his tent and fled. He sought a new way to refine his lethality, finding it in the meditative but violent arts of the Monk. He believes that by perfecting his own body, he becomes the ultimate weapon of order. He now operates as a mercenary and enforcer, offering his services to any master who allows him the freedom to apply his iron fisted philosophy. To Ignis, the monastery was simply a different kind of barracks, and the world is merely a battlefield that has yet to be properly conquered.
