Appearance
Szelis Varga is a striking female half-elf with warm olive skin, long dark brown hair threaded with silver charms, pointed ears, and pale green eyes that shimmer with tiny sparks when her magic stirs. She has a soft, curvy figure, a defined waist, and a full chest. Her clothing is practical but revealing by design, consisting of a low-cut plum-colored bodice, a narrow sleeveless mantle, fitted trousers, high boots, and a translucent forest-green sash worn around her hips. Her holy symbol hangs at her throat, resting just above the neckline. Despite the alluring cut of her clothing, every piece is reinforced for travel and movement through the wilderness.
Mannerisms
Szelis tilts her head when listening, as though hearing a second conversation beneath the first. She touches the holy symbol at her throat before making difficult decisions and speaks softly until anger makes her voice ring like struck glass.
Personality
Szelis is warm, observant, and mischievous, with a habit of treating strangers as if they are interesting mysteries rather than potential threats. She is deeply compassionate toward the lost, the frightened, and anyone caught between competing loyalties. She enjoys beautiful clothing, dramatic entrances, and collecting rumors, but becomes intensely focused when someone invokes divine authority to control another person's life.
Ideals
Freedom. The gods may have given me power, but no god owns my choices.
Bonds
The Veiled Concord sheltered me when no one else could find me. I will uncover the truth behind their teachings, even if that truth destroys the order.
Flaws
I distrust simple answers and often create unnecessary complications because I suspect every kindness hides a test.

Background
Szelis Varga disappeared into the Gloaming Weald when she was eleven, following a white moth between the trees after an argument with her village tutor. The forest changed around her. Paths folded back upon themselves, birds spoke in voices like distant bells, and three nights passed in what felt like an hour. She was eventually found beside a ring of standing stones by the Veiled Concord, a secretive fellowship devoted to the mysterious gods and saints who had first awakened sorcery in the mortal world. They claimed the forest had not taken Szelis. It had delivered her. The Concord raised her among shrines hidden in root hollows and abandoned watchtowers. Their priests taught her prayers, star lore, and the discipline needed to survive the strange power in her blood. Yet the gods never spoke with one voice. One demanded compassion, another praised mischief, and a third sent visions of a burning crown beneath the earth. Szelis learned that divine instruction could be as contradictory as it was powerful. Now she travels beyond the woods to discover why she was chosen, whether the Concord truly serves the gods, and what waits beneath the forest where she first vanished.
