Appearance
Stryder has dusky red skin and obsidian horns that sweep back tightly against their skull, minimizing their silhouette in the dark. They have vibrant amber eyes that seem to catch the faintest light. Their slender, athletic build is usually hidden beneath a tattered grey cloak and dark, reinforced leather armor. Their tail is prehensile and often stays tucked or wrapped around their waist to avoid making noise during movement.
Mannerisms
They tend to speak in a low, raspy whisper and rarely maintain eye contact for more than a few seconds, instead watching a person's hands and feet.
Personality
Stryder is a person of few words, preferring to let their actions and their arrows speak. They are intensely observant, constantly scanning horizons and rooftops for threats or opportunities. Despite a cold exterior shaped by a life of crime, they possess a quiet, fierce empathy for those exploited by the powerful.
Ideals
Freedom and balance. No one should be owned by a guild or a master, and the natural world deserves as much protection as the civilized one.
Bonds
I carry a rusted coin from the first merchant I saved after leaving the syndicate, a reminder that my skills can be used for good.
Flaws
I am prone to paranoia and struggle to trust anyone who offers help without asking for something in return.

Background
Born in the sprawl of a massive metropolis, Stryder was recruited young by the Red Vein, a syndicate that valued their natural Tiefling agility. They spent years as a rooftop runner and scout, learning the city's secrets and the art of staying unseen. However, the syndicate's cruelty eventually reached a breaking point when they were ordered to burn an orphanage that refused to pay protection money. Stryder refused, turned informant for the local authorities, and barely escaped the subsequent bounty on their head. Fleeing into the surrounding wilderness, they discovered that the skills of a urban ghost translated perfectly to the hunt in the wild. They now walk the line between the city and the forest, acting as a protector who knows exactly how the wicked think and hide. Their past remains a shadow they can never quite shake, but it is also the sharpest tool in their arsenal.
