Appearance
A tall, broad-shouldered human with warm brown skin, dark auburn hair tied at the nape, and gray-green eyes that rarely stop assessing a room. A thin scar crosses the left eyebrow, and a faded signet tattoo marks the inside of the right wrist. She wears polished chain mail beneath a deep blue surcoat bearing a silver stag, with a longsword at her hip and a sturdy shield painted in the same heraldic colors.
Mannerisms
Elianor straightens her cuffs before difficult conversations, taps two fingers against her shield when thinking, and addresses servants, soldiers, and nobles with the same formal courtesy.
Personality
Composed and attentive in public, Elianor speaks with deliberate courtesy and remembers the names of guards, cooks, stable hands, and servants. In battle she becomes startlingly direct, issuing clear commands and placing herself between danger and anyone who cannot defend themselves. She enjoys strategy games, dry humor, and hearing stories from people who have never been invited into a noble hall.
Ideals
Responsibility. Privilege is a burden before it is a reward. Those born to power must spend their lives defending those who were denied it.
Bonds
I carry Captain Marrec's battered shield boss as a reminder that rank means nothing if it is not used to protect others.
Flaws
I cannot resist answering an insult or challenge, especially when it is directed at someone of lower status. Pride has made me mistake recklessness for courage more than once.
Quirks
Background
Lady Elianor Vey was born into a human noble house that had spent generations collecting treaties, favors, and enemies. Her family expected her to become a diplomat, but Elianor discovered that courtly arguments felt hollow when armed raiders burned villages beyond the estate walls. She began training with the household guard, first in secret and later under the stern instruction of Captain Marrec, the only veteran who treated her as a student rather than an ornament. When a border fortress fell through the negligence of a powerful ally, Elianor led a desperate defense that saved dozens of civilians but cost Captain Marrec his life. The victory earned her a title, a scar, and an uncomfortable reputation as a noble who would rather stand in a shield wall than sit at a banquet. She now travels as a fighter and envoy, seeking the people responsible for the betrayal while trying to prove that privilege is not merely an inheritance, but a debt owed to those without it.
