Appearance
Asura is a heavily muscled human warrior with deep bronze skin, wild black hair, and eyes that burn like furnace coals. His body is covered in old military scars, prayer brands, and bands of red war paint. Through disciplined ki projection, six translucent arms of blazing crimson energy manifest behind and around his real arms, moving with terrifying precision. When his rage rises, the spectral limbs become more solid, each fist glowing with stormlike force. He wears battered soldier's trousers, a sleeveless monk's sash, iron bracers, and a torn red mantle bearing the insignia of his former regiment.
Mannerisms
Asura rolls his shoulders before speaking, as if preparing for combat. He often clenches and unclenches his fists while listening, and his spectral arms mirror the motion a heartbeat later. He addresses military officers by rank only when he is being deliberately sarcastic.
Personality
Asura is blunt, intense, and fiercely protective. He has little patience for ceremony, boasts, or philosophical arguments that do not lead to action. Beneath his volcanic anger is a disciplined soldier who notices every exit, counts every ally, and remembers the name of every person who has died under his protection.
Ideals
Strength must serve the powerless. Any leader who spends innocent lives for pride, profit, or convenience has forfeited the right to command.
Bonds
The broken standard of his lost regiment is wrapped around his staff. He will protect abandoned soldiers, conscripts, and refugees, even when doing so endangers the mission. He intends to find and confront the officers responsible for his regiment's massacre.
Flaws
His fury is easier to unleash than to control. He treats compromise as weakness, distrusts commanders and nobles instinctively, and would rather endure certain death than admit that he was wrong. When reminded of his regiment's destruction, he becomes dangerously reckless.
Quirks
Background
Asura was born in a human frontier garrison where children learned the sound of marching boots before they learned music. He became a soldier because strength was the only language his commanders respected, and he rose quickly through brutal campaigns against raiders, warlords, and things that crawled out of the old ruins. His body became a weapon, but his temper became a catastrophe. During one disastrous battle, his entire regiment was sacrificed by its generals to conceal a political failure. Asura survived beneath a mountain of corpses, gripping the broken standard of his unit and screaming until his voice failed. A wandering monastery found him days later. The monks did not try to extinguish his fury. Instead, they taught him to give it shape. Through years of punishing meditation and impossible combat drills, Asura learned to channel his wrath as ki, creating six spectral arms that strike whenever his will becomes stronger than his pain. He eventually returned to the world, not as a servant of any army, but as a relentless hunter of commanders who spend lives like coins. He seeks the truth behind his regiment's betrayal, while secretly fearing that the rage inside him is not merely his own, but the echo of every soldier who died obeying a foolish order.
