Appearance
Ssheveth is a lean, long-limbed wood elf with warm brown skin, gray-green eyes, and thick black hair braided with small feathers, pale seeds, and polished bits of river stone. Her pointed ears are marked with faint white paint in the shape of branching leaves. She wears weathered leather armor beneath a moss-colored cloak, and carries a yew staff carved with spiraling knotwork. Her hands are callused from climbing, gathering herbs, and traveling beyond settled roads.
Mannerisms
Ssheveth pauses before entering any new place to touch the nearest living plant, stone, or wooden surface. When thinking, she rolls a seed between her fingers and speaks in a low, measured voice. She rarely sits with her back to an open doorway.
Personality
Ssheveth is observant, dryly humorous, and more comfortable with an animal's warning growl than with polite conversation. She offers practical kindness without ceremony, remembers the names of working animals, and becomes unexpectedly playful around children. She is slow to trust institutions, but deeply loyal to individuals who show courage or mercy.
Ideals
Freedom. No creature should be owned, fenced in, or forced to serve a system that treats life as a resource. The wild must remain free, and civilization must learn to live within its limits.
Bonds
The poisoned spring that first awakened her druidic calling still runs weakly, and Ssheveth is determined to find who contaminated it and why. She also carries a small clay token from the human healer who taught her that compassion is not limited by borders.
Flaws
Ssheveth has little patience for laws made by people who have never slept beneath the sky. When she decides that someone is harming the natural world, she can become reckless, vindictive, and frighteningly certain that she alone sees the full truth.
Quirks
Background
Ssheveth was born among a small woodland elf community that moved with the seasons rather than building permanent halls. Her mother taught her the old paths through cedar valleys and fern marshes, while her father served as a scout who guided travelers away from dangerous hunting grounds. Ssheveth learned early that the wilderness was not empty. Every hollow had a history, every animal had a warning, and every stream carried news if one knew how to listen. When a fever swept through a nearby human settlement, Ssheveth broke tradition and crossed into the sick village alone. She found a dying grove at its center, poisoned by runoff from an abandoned mine. With the help of an elderly druid, she cleansed the spring, saved several families, and discovered a talent for shaping living magic. Since then, she has walked beyond her people's borders as an outlander, helping communities that do not yet understand how closely their survival is tied to the land. She is kind to the frightened, suspicious of the powerful, and entirely willing to ruin a road, dam, or manor if it threatens the balance of the wild.
